one week till my birthday

I have generally enjoyed the past few weeks. I had a nice vacation in Hawaii over spring break; I relaxed at the beach and at the condo my family rented; I also did some very brief historical touring. I have been reading more of "The Pearl" and am almost done. I have also done a good amount of schoolwork, and still seem to be doing well with it.
This weekend, I slept in, and also signed up for a computer programming class later this summer. This class is going to be interesting, because I will not only learn about writing computer programs as a blind person, but will be doing recreational activities with the class, such as watching movies.
This time of year is very exciting for me; my 17th birthday is next week, and my school will have the track meet and maybe a few other events next month (I'm not going to science camp this year like I often do). Schoolwill end in just two months!
