I am spending most of my English class reading "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. It is a very interesting book but kind of a sad one.
I spent Thanksgiving at my neighbors' house. It was good, and I liked the food they had there. I even had a frozen cranberry dessert which I really liked.
This afternoon is Christmas tree decorating at my school. I like this event because not only do I do tree decorating, but I get to have cookies and cider and do a little celebrating.
I only have three weeks of school before Winter break. And the Winter concert at my school is only a little more than two weeks away!

Friday

This weekend will be long, but I might not do much. It looks like there will be a Veteran's Day parade that my family could go to.
My current cold seems to be somewhat different from the one I've had before. I am getting over it right now.

Thursday

The last few days have been very unusual for me. On Monday there was a late start at my school, meaning that I got to miss the first few classes of the day. On Tuesday I had a checkup at the doctor's office, so I missed a few classes in the morning again. Yesterday I was on a mobility lesson, and I decided to take a route to my bank to cash a check.
I have been having a little bit of a cold for the past few days, but it is starting to get better.

Friday

Last night was another one of those nights where I had no homework but not much I could do. This weekend, however, I think I'll be able to do a few things with my family.
I think I am pretty much over my cold.
It's rainy this morning but is supposed to be nicer today.

Thursday

The past two nights, I had no homework (or not much), but I couldn't do much because my parents were busy or gone. On Tuesday, my dad was gone to Seattle, and my mom went to a puppy-training class. On Wednesday, my dad came back from Seattle but had to work on a report for his company. And my mom had to go with my siblings to a youth group at our church.
Today might not be exciting either. I'm a little sick (almost over my cold), and I don't have anything planned for tonight. And I don't plan on doing much this weekend, either.\

Tuesday

There isn't much for me to be excited about this week. My dad will be gone today and tomorrow, which means my family might be able to eat out, but not if I have too much homework.
One thing that I might get, even though I won't go trick-or-treating, is getting Halloween candy. I remember last year, I didn't go trick-or-treating, and my friends still gave me a good amount of candy.

Monday

I seem to be a little bit sick, but not as much as last week.
This weekend I didn't do anything exciting, and this week doesn't look exciting either. My dad will be gone tomorrow and Wednesday, but my family probably won't do much while he's gone.
I won't go to any events after school this week and probably won't for a few weeks. The first quarter of my school year is almost over, and I can't believe how far I've gotten in school.

Friday

I might stay home again this weekend because I think I might have the cold.
I might also miss my last session of golfing because my mom and dad will both be gone that evening, which will mean a problem getting me back home from school, and you never know how much homework I'll have.
I probably won't dress up for Halloween and go trick-or-treating this year (as I did last year. I can't think of a good costume and I have a good amount of things I need to do.

Thursday

Last night all I did was homework.
My mom is going to a class to train our puppy. The puppy seems to be doing better than before, but she still does some bad things sometimes.

Wednesday

It is supposed to be nice and sunny through this weekend. My dad is going to Seattle again today for a short business trip.
My brother is taking a chess class, so I played a game of chess with him last night. I haven't played chess in several years, so we only played a practice round. I can't really say who won--I was I was ahead at the beginning, but he caught up to me and went a little ahead at the end; Peter showed me some strategies so I could win the game, but we decided to just get the game over with later because I was tired.

Tuesday

I had a little cold and a sore throat over the weekend, but I feel mostly better today.
Yesterday I had a good time bowling after school. I got a pretty good score, but didn't get to do much else at the bowling alley. I had one slice of pizza, but nothing else to eat or drink until I got home, which was very unusual.
I am not going golfing this afternoon like I usually do on Tuesdays, but will go next Tuesday (for the last time this season). I'm getting better at golfing every time. The weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow, but it probably won't be that nice for a long time after that.

Friday

Last night was the open house at my school. It went pretty well, and my family got to see what I've been doing in most of my classes.
This weekend I might just stay home because I have a good amount of homework that I need to do and I don't plan to go anywhere.

Thursday

Yesterday was the celebration of the National White Cane Awareness Day. I got to walk all the way from my school to the park downtown. I got to here many people, including the mayor, talk about the White Cane and how it really means indipendence. My family came down there and my mom got to take me home from school early because there were no classes during or after the event.
Tonight is the open house at my school, and I get to recite a poem there. I almost got finished with decorating my bowling ball in Art class. I can't use it for bowling, but can have it as a decoration for the garden at home. And Speaking iof bowling, I'll get to go bowling next Monday after school.

Monday

This weekend I couldn't be away from home for very long because my mom had to take care of our puppy because she seems to be misbehaving. My mom wants to get rid of her; we'll figure out what to do with her when the rest of my family gets back. I did get to get a hair cut and go out for pizza Friday.
On Wednesday I get to go to an event where I go on a walk and get to talk with other people about white canes. Thursday will be the Open House at my school.
Tomorrow I have a math test, and I will be working hard on my piano piece (as well as my percussion piece) for Band and my poem that I'm going to read at the Open House this week.

Thursday

I really enjoy being with only my mom. One good example of that is going out to dinner. We got to eat coney dogs Tuesday night and fish and shrimp last night. They all tasted really good. Friday night we will probably go out for pizza.
In mobility I'm getting good progress on my route to the bowling alley. In band i should be learning the first verse of my piano piece before too long.

Tuesday

Starting tonight, for a whole week, my mom and I will be the only ones home. We will get to do the fun things.
Today we plan on getting hot dogs after I go golfing.
It might not be raining when I go golfing so that would be good.

Monday

Today in Band I started working on my piano piece. It is just chords for an old song.
Tomorrow will be pretty exciting. My dad and my sisters and brother will leave for New Jersey, and after I go golfing my mom will take out to have a hot dog for dinner.
It looks like it's going to rain again this week. But my mom and I will have a good amount of time to ourselves so we can go out to eat and go shopping.

Friday

This weekend I'll probably just stay inside because it will probably rain.
Next week might be exciting because my mom and I will be the only ones at home, since my dad and my siblings will be in New Jersey to visit relatives. They will be gone for a whole week. I like it when my dad is gone because I get to eat out more.

Thursday

The nice weather from earlier this week has seemed to have come to an end. It is supposed to rain for the next 7 days.
I didn't do many exciting things in the past few days, but I did get to celebrate my mobility instructor's birthday yesterday.
I am still a good piano player and should be ready for my next band piece.

Tuesday

Today I'm going golfing again. Tomorrow my dad will be going to Seattle for the whole day. And next week he will go with my siblings to New Jersey for a whole week to see my relatives, leaving my mom and me here.
The Buick I looked at this weekend was actually a late 70's model that was fancy, with power windows and locks. It sure wasn't the oldest car I've seen.
I like going to the bank, even though I rarely get cash out of it.

Monday

This weekend it was hot, but I spent most of my time inside. Today it is supposed to get even hotter.
I did go to a few garage sales on Saturday. Most of what they were selling was gone by the time we got there, but I got to look at an old Buick that one of my neighbors was selling.
I got only one problem wrong on my math test. I have learned all of my percussion piece for Band. Soon we'll learn another piece in which I might get to play the piano.

Friday

I am almost done learning my percussion piece in band. After that I will probably learn a piano piece.
Yesterday I had a math test. Though I don't know my grade on it yet, I know I did pretty well because I got all the problems on the review right.
This weekend I need to deposit a check in my bank account. Other than that I don't know what I'll do. My dad and I are reading a long and interesting book about math.

an unusual week

Yesterday I had a mobility lesson where I got to walk all the way down to the bowling alley (about 5 blocks) and looked at the snack bar, even though it was open.
I also did a good amount of golfing this week, as I had it after school on Tuesday, and went to a golf clinic Monday mmorning. I think I might have the basic skills down. I also did horseback riding on Monday afternoon, and I still like it.

my dad is back!

Last night my ddad came back from Seattle on the train. My family is very excited to have him back.
My English class is getting a head starrt on the poetry unit. Today we might read some poetry.

Wednesday

Yesterday I learned golfing at the Children's Golf Course after school. I seem to have done better than I did last year.
Tonight my dad is coming back from Seattle, but he won't be back till bed time.
Today my English class is starting a poetry unit.

Today after school, I will be going golfing. I hope to do better than last year, which wasn't very good.
It is also very hot. Yesterday there was a record high temperature of 95, and today it is supposed to reach 90. It should cool down later in the week.
Soon my English class will be starting a poetry unit. Poetry is one of my favorite parts of English. We will be preparing for a poetry reading we're doing at an open house at the school next month.

Monday

I didn't do much this weekend. I helped my dad start getting a computer set up to give to somewhere else. My dad went to Seattle yesterday, and won't be back until Wednesday. I need t o do an interview with another student today, to be put in the yearbook, because the interview is due tomorrow.

Friday

Yesterday afternoon I went on a special biking event after school. My family came there to watch me and ride some bikes. I rode two tandem bikes, one with a special instructor, and the other a few times with my family. It was very fun.

Thursday

Yesterday I did a few unusual things. First, I went to a mobility class (I will have it almost every Wednesday). And then I had an orthodontist appointment.
Mobility was pretty good. I got to walk four blocks away from the school and then walk back. On the way back, I got to have a tasty hot chocolate.
When I got back to school with my mobility instructor, it was time for my orthodontist appointment. I hadn't sean my orthodontist in a long time. She was just checking on me and she says my teeth still look straight. I don't need to go back unless my retainer breaks.
Tuesday afternoon was the ice cream social. I had strawberry ice cream. It tasted pretty good, but the event as a whole wasn't quite as good as last time.

Tuesday

Tomorrow I have an orthodontist appointment tomorrow morning. I haven't seen my orthodontist for 9 months.
This afternoon is the ice cream social at my school. When I was there the last few years, I enjoyed the taste of the ice cream.
It is supposed to be hot this week. On Sunday the forecast said that it might reach 90 degrees.

Monday

I am easing into the normal school routine, since almost all of the students that are going to my school this year are here.
This weekend I didn't do all that I wanted, but did deposit my check in the bank account and read a book with my dad about math. The first part of it was good, but we didn't get very far this weekend.\
The big thing to talk about around my house is the new dog, Pippin. She is a Karen Terrior mixed with a couple of other dog breeds. She is only two months old, so my mom is training her. She sometimes bites me, and she almost ran under the couch. But she seems to be doing better every day.

Friday

This weekend I'll probably sleep in, because I felt tired these first few days of school. I need to wake up so early in the morning that I feel tired quite a few times when I'm at school.
This weekend my dad and I might do a few things. We had started upgrading a computer at home, and we might finish doing that. I also have a check that I need to deposit at the bank. If I could do anything I want, I would look at all the garage sales (if there are any) and call all my friends that I miss. But I need to practice a rhythm for my Band class. Thankfully, I don't have any other homework I need to work on this weekend.

back to school

Yesterday was my first day of school this year. I was excited that I got to see my friends from last year. I look forward to this schoolyear--I hope it will be even better than last year.
This summer I did a good amount of things, but I did most of them close to home. I got to visit my grandparents in California, and went to a family reunion afterwords. I went hiking with my family to Waklela Falls in Oregon, for a 2-mile hike. The water was very cool there, and we got to throw rocks into the river. Our church had a 3-mile walk for the homeless that we went on last month. I spent the whole morning walking, and felt tired that afternoon, but I'm still glad I did it.
A few weeks ago it was my mom's birthday, so my dad got her a puppy and my family named her Pippin. She still needs to be taken care of, but she seems to be getting along with our other dog, Scooby, which we've had for more than ten years.

my last day of school!

Today is my last day of school for this schoolyear. I really enjoyed this schoolyear, and hope that next year will be even better.
Yesterday I had a party in my Work Experience class for all the great work I've done. I got to eat some pizza and hang out. After that, I walked around the track at my school.
There are many things I am looking forward to this summer. There is my computer programming project that I am thinking about, and I will get to see both sets of grandparents. My family also might get to go to the beach.

almost the end of the schoolyear

This has been one of the best schoolyears I've ever had. I did an excellent job in most of my classes. I got to do many fun things I never thought I would do, such as starting this blog, decorating a bowling ball in art class, going on a hike, and learning golf. Next year I'll try to do even better.Yesterday was one of the most exciting days of the schoolyear. I got to go to the rod rally, and my family went with me. Our driver was a man who builds cars. The car was a car he built out of an old Franklin engine and some other things he found which he calls 'Franklinstein'. After that was the barbecue picnic, where I got to eat some hot dogs for dinner and hear some people at my school sing. After that was the awards assembly. I won a Principal's Award for achieving my excellent acedemic grades and another for participating in a reading contest I was in a few months ago.
I still look forward to the summer and all the fun things I get to do.

Wednesday

Tomorrow is the rod rally, picnic, and awards assembly. Friday is when people at my school are graduating. I won't graduate for a few years.
This afternoon, my girlfriend and I are going out to the mall and will do some stuff for an end-of-year celebration.
I have my science final tomorrow. I don't have much homework these last few weeks of school. I am almost finished with my report on Spain in geography, am finished with math for the year, and have gotten my final payment from my Work Experience class.

Tuesday

This week is both good and bad. The good part is the rod rally and picnic on Thursday. It is also the last full week of school, with next week just being a day and a half of school.
The bad part is that Thursday is my big science final. I also might need to do a few things for the yearbook, though I think I have most of what I need.
I am still looking forward to this summer. My grandparents on my dad's side will visit later this month, and I will see my grandparents on my mom's side later. Last year my family went to New Jersey to see my aunt and cousins as well as some other relatives for our family reunion. We also got to see New York City and the Empire State Building. This year we probably will go in the fall instead because of the price of plain tickets. My siblings will go because they are homeschooled, but I won't go because I have school.

Monday

This weekend I mostly just stauyed home. There weren't any exciting events that my family wanted to go to. This week I am looking forward to the rod rally and the picnic on Thursday. It should warm up later this week.
I passed my assessment test that I took a few months ago, so I won't need to take it next year.
It was rainy for most of this weekend. It is supposed to continue to be rainy today and tomorrow.

Thursday

Yesterday was the day I went to the ammusement park. I enjoyed the rides I went on, though I threw up after one of them. I liked the roller coasters and the Faris Wheel very well. I went to my siblings' art show on Tuesday night because I didn't have homework. It was okay, but most of what I did there was have refreshments.
I look forward to the rod rally and the picnic next week. The week after that, when my school ends, I will do some more fun stuff with my family.

In less than an hour I will be going to an amusement park. There are many rides, including a roller coaster ride, that I might get to go on. It might rain today, but we'll still find things to do there.
Next Thursday there will be a rod rally and picnic at my school. My siblings might even ride in the rod rally.

I am going to an amusement park tomorrow with the rest of the highschoolers at my school. We will get to go on some of the rides there and do some other fun things.
Tonight my sisters' art class is having an art show, but I will probably not go to it. I might not do any fun things until school is completely finished. My grandparents on my dad's side are coming at the end of this month, and my family might get to see my grandparents on my mom's side later this summer.

Monday

On Saturday my family went to an airplane museum. It was a special day you could get into the cockpits of the airplanes. I sat in a few of the airplanes, and got to look at the controls in them. It was very fun.
On Friday, I interviewed my friend Mitchell for the yearbook. I am also writing a few other articles about my experience this year at my school.
On Wednesday I will go to an amusement park, but that's probably the last fun thing I will do before the end of the school year.

Thursday

I only have about 3 weeks of school left. I will go to an amusement park next week and might do a few other fun things before the end of the school year.
I don't have anything planned for this weekend.
I have a few things that I'm looking forward to in the summer. I might go see my grandparents in California. And I'll work on a computer programming project (I'll decide which one I'll work on).

Wednesday

The weather was nice yesterday so my family ate outside. There should be nice weather for the rest of this week, though there might be showers and thunderstorms on Saturday.
Yesterday I made some trail mix in Daily Living Skills. It was very delicious.
Tomorrow is the concert at my school (though I won't perform in it). I will go to an amusement park with other people at my school. I have a few things to look forward to after that, before my school year ends.

Tuesday

My family did a few things this weekend. Yesterday evening we had a picnic with hot dogs and hamburgers. Some of my siblings' friends came. It was excellent.
Yesterday norning we went to a ceremony on local veterans. It was good, and I liked the band and choir that played.
On sunday evening, we went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. I had a burrito and an enchalada. They were pretty good, but the people that served us weren't as good as they usually are.
My dad is going on a few trips this week. He is on a trip to California today, and will be in Seattle on Thursday and Friday.
On Thursday there will be the spring concert at my school. I am not going to perform in it, but I will go there to see some of my friends perform.

yesterday was the track meet and the dance!

Yesterday was a very unusual day. First it was the track meet. I spent the time time when I'm normally at school running around the track, doing a standing long jump, and doing many other fun activities. That afternoon I had some chocolate pie. After school, I helped set up for the dance. Since my friend who I went with to get supplies for the dance on Wednesday encouraged me to come, I decided to come to the dance. We ate pizza and cheesecake and danced together that night. My mom picked me up half way through the dance because I didn't want to get tired.
This weekend may not be exciting for me. My family might go somewhere close by (but don't know where). It is supposed to be mostly cloudly this weekend, with maybe a few showers and thunderstorms.

Tomorrow is the track meet!

I am excited because tomorrow I will be in the track meet at my school. I will do many fun activities there.
I am going to go with one of my friends and some other people at my school this afternoon to get some stuff that we might need at the dance tomorrow after the track meet (I might not go to the dance for a few reasons.)
I am looking forward to this weekend, Memorial Day Weekend, even though my family might not go anywhere.

Tuesday

I am starting on writing poetry. I have written some of my first one and will write a second one this week.
Thursday is the track meet and the dance, though I might not go to the dance if I have other things I need to do. Tomorrow I might go on a trip with some other students to get stuff that we might eat or use at the dance.

Monday

This weekend was very hot. This week it is supposed to cool off.
My family went to a fun event on Saturday where we got to look at bulldozers. I even got to look inside a bulldozer myself.
I was sick yesterday, so I didn't go to church or the symphony last night.

it is very hot today

Temperatures will be in the 90's today and tomorrow, an anomaly for this time of year. There is a construction-related event tomorrow that my family likes to go to. There is also a symphony playing this weekend with Rachmonanoff and strauss, which is very inspirational because I am verry philharmonic.
I am going to start working on a report on a South American country in geography. I picked Brazil.

Thursday

It will get really hot today, in the 80's. It is supposed to get even hotter tomorrow.
I will start reading and writing poetry soon. I am also learning about Latin America (Central and South America) in geoggraphy, and force in science.

Wednesday

I've finished my book report, and did very well on both of my tests yesterday. I got all the problems right on my math test, and most of the questions right on my geography test.
This weekend there is a symphony that I might go to, and next week there is the track meet and the dance. I also might go on a shopping trip next week.

Tuesday

I have both a geography and a math test today. My dad should be back from his trip (supposedly, this is his final one for the next few weeks.
Although i didn't get all of the questions correct on my science test last week, I got the highest score in my class. The geography test I had last week was just a short test on locations of countries; today's is the big test on the chapter.

Monday

Yesterday was Mother's Day. I gave my mom a vase that I made in art class. My dad and I also gave her a new digital camera. We went out for dinner that night. The only sad part was that my dad had to fly to yet another meeting after dinner. He will come back from the meeting Tuesday evening.
This week I have a math test and I will finish my book report. I had a science test and a geography test last week. I got 100% on my geography test, but I haven't gotten my grade back for my science test.

Friday

My week has been normal, except my dad has been gone. My dad will still be gone tomorrow, so my family is thinking about what to do. He will be back on Sunday for Mother's Day, but that night he will need to leave for yet another trip.
I still look forward to reading and writing poetry.

Thursday

There are not many exciting things happening this week or next week, except that I might get to read and write poetry.
The next exciting thing that will happen will be the Track Meet, which is two weeks from today. I get to run across the school's track and do many other fun activities. After that, there is a dance that I might go to. I went to the Track Meet twice and went to a similar dance at school last year.

Wednesday

My dad left for his first trip this morning. He has to visit with some people from his job and then go to a conference. He won't be back home until Saturday.
I don't have anything exciting that I am doing this week, except making some food. I'll make some biskut-like thing later this morning.

back from camp

Last week was science camp, in which I learned about birds and the history of flight. While there I got to check out a coastguard helecopter and some rescue boats, hike up a sand dune, and go to the beach. It was verry fun.
For my birhday, I got many presents, including some stuff for my collections and a nice wallet.
This week is a busy week because I am doing my book report and some other homework. My dad has a few business trips he needs to go to this week, so after tonight, I won't see him till Sunday. He has another trip he has to go on next week.

I'm turning 15 tomorrow!

I am looking forward to my birthday tomorrow and camp next week.
For my birthday I will get some birthday presents and will eat some hot dogs and some chocolate cake.
For camp next week, it will be school-related so I'll learn about birds and flight. The coastguard will bring his helecopter so I can look at it.

Thursday

Yesterday, I didn't go get my haircut because I had a camp meeting that I needed to go to. I don't really need a haircut right now, so I might just hold off on it for a few more weeks.
I am still looking forward to my birthday on Saturday and camp next week. After that it will be just a month and a half until school is over!

Wednesday

I will probably get a haircut at the end of the schoolday today, but I might need to go to a meeting on the camp I'm going to next week.
It has been pretty cold this week and last weekend, but it's supposed to get warmer this weekend.
I really enjoyed the camp during the two times I went there before. I got to eat some excellent food, play some games, sing some songs, and do some fun activities. I hope this year it'll be just as good.

Tuesday

My dad took a short business trip to Seattle yesterday morning. He is coming home today at supper time.
This week, I probably won't have anything exciting until my birthday. There is a play that some students at my school are doing this weekend, and I might go to it if my family has time.

Monday

Last week was the second part of my assessment, which was sdcience and math. I did the first part, reading and writing, last month. The only part I didn't get to finish was science, because I had a dental appointment on Thursday (the first part of the science assessment) and didn't have quite enough time to finish some of the longer questions on the test. But if I pass a subject in the assessment this year, I won't have to take the assessment on it the next year because it was a 10th grade test and I'm only in 9th grade.
I am still looking forward to my birthday and camp. I might also get a haircut some time this week. I will also do a book report some time soon.

Monday

I have an assessment test this week as I said before, starting tomorrow and going until Friday.
I didn't go fishing on Saturday because I was tired, but I did go outside and took a walk on Saturday because it was very hot.
My birthday is in less than two weeks, and I am definitely looking forward to that. After that is a camp I'm going to with some other students at my school, which I really liked when I went there before.

Friday

As I said before, I might go fishing with my dad and some other people tomorrow. Tomorrow is also my friend's birthday, but might not do anything to celebrate it with her. Next week (starting on Tuesday) I have the second part of my assessment test, so I'll need to get rested for that.
Next week I will probably not do any exciting things.

my spring break

Last week was spring break. I went to San Francisco and we got to visit China Town. I liked it there, and I got to eat some excellent Chineese food there. After that we toured San Francisco a little bit more, and then we went to see my grandparents in California.
I have a dentist appointment where they have to do a root canal on one of my teeth this afternoon.
One of these weekends I might go out fishing. My Grandpa always liked fishing, but I have never really tried to go fishing.

Wednesday

Last night my family got to go to a Mexican restaurant with my aunt and my cousins. I haven't gone to any Mexican restaurant in several months. I ordered a burrito like I always do.
Yesterday while I was at school, my family and my cousins and aunt got to go on a little hiistoric adventure. First they got to look at what is probably the first apple tree in the state. Then they walked over to the historic reserve. I don't know what they will do today or tomorrow, except for the school carnival which they might not go to.

I am not doing anything special for Easter, except having my family's usual Easter dinner.
I still might go bowling tomorrow or on some other weekend.
My dad got back from his business trip last night. He probably won't go on any business trips for a few weeks.
I can't wait to see my aunt and some of my cousins next week!

Thursday

I did go to the meeting, which was a discussion on building a third bridge over the river and how it would help transportation and what transit system we would use.
I am thinking about what to do during spring break, which is the week after next week.
This week I won a prize for reading the most books this week. I read and listened to several short books, and starting to read a longer book about rubber. My prize was a $5 gift card to a book store I might want to go to.

I'm going to a meeting today

This afternoon I have decided to go to a meeting on improving a bridge for the river, or something like that.
My dad has to go on yet another business trip, and he won't be back until tomorrow night. As I said in an earlier post, we like to go out to dinner when my dad is gone. One of my favorite restaurants to go out to is Panda Express, a Chinese restaurant.
There is a carnival at my school next Thursday (not tomorrow) that I usually go to with my family. However, my cousins and my aunt are coming that week and they have to get ready to go back home that night, so we might not go. I especially like the cake walk at the carnival. I helped make a cake for the carnival yesterday.
I will probably go bowling with some of my friends this weekend.

a three-day weekend

I had an assessment test I had to take last week, so I didn't blog.
I had Friday off from school so I had a three-day weekend, but it was sad because my mom had to leave because she had to visit my Grandpa in California because he was not feeling good. She'll be back tonight.
This weekend, I mostly just stayed home because it was rainy, but I did manage to go to a garage sale and get some videos and bike helmets that might be good for my siblings.
The weekend before that, I got to go to a tear-down celebration of my school's fitness building and got to be in the front page of the newspaper once again. I got to explore the old fitness building and learned something interesting: there was a bowling alley in that building that they used a long time ago, but now they just use a commercial bowling alley.
I only have a few things left to do on my research paper. I should be completely finished pretty soon.

Thursday

I couldn't think of which character I would dress up as for today, which is "dress up as your favorite book character" day.
The author of the story that my English class read ("The Birds") was Daphne du Maurier.
My dad has been to two business trips this week. He was in Seattle from last Saturday until Tuesday, and he is in New York (he left late Tuesday night and will come back this evening). My family likes when my dad is gone because we get to go out to restaurants more often.
I am working on my justifications of sources for my research paper.

Wednesday

Yesterday was my sisters' birthday. They are twins, and both of them turned 12. My family ate sausage and sauercraut and had some Tunnel of Fudge cake for dessert last night.
My school is having an event this month where whoever reads the most books wins a prize. I will probably be reading more books this month than I've ever read in a month.
It's also spirit week at my school. Monday was crazy hair day, so my my mom put some ponytails and burrettes in my hair to look like a girl. Yesterday was pajama day. Today is sports day, so i'm wearing my dad's Packers shirt (I don't have any sports shirts that fit me anymore). Tomorrow will be dress as your favorite book character day (I'll have to think about that one), and Friday is twin day, where I wear the same color shirt and pants as someone else.
My English class just finished reading a sotory called The Birds, which was based in England during a war. There were birds that were going everywhere and doing bad things. Since the author left the end up to immagination, I think that the birds would just kill everybody in the area.

Wednesday

I have been sick yesterday and Monday. I spent those days just sleeping for most of the day. I feel mostly better now.
During last weekend, I had a computer programming lesson with my dad, but nothing else exciting happened.
My sisters both have their birthdays next week. Some of my cousins are coming after easter to visit my family.

Friday

I did make my smoothy on Monday, and it was very delicious. I put peaches, blueberries, and strawberries in it.
I am working verry hard on my rough draft for my research paper and am almost done with it.
I only got two problems wrong on my math test yesterday, and will have a science test on Monday.

Tuesday

I am working very hard on my research project. I should have my rough draft done by Friday.
I might make a fruit smoothy in Daily Living Skills (DLS) today. I don't think I have ever had a smothy in a year.
On Saturday, I went to a symphony concert where they played Beethoven music. They played his 7th symphony and a couple of of other, smaller pieces. It was good except for one part where they started messing up.
On Monday, I went to Target, and though I didn't find anything there that I wanted to get, my mom found some calculators for my collection that she found before.
I will have my review for math today and my test tomorrow.

Valentine's Day

I believe I have a three-day weekend this wekend because next Monday is President's Day.
I am moving ahead with my research paper, and will continue to work on it for the next few weeks.
Other than Valentine's Day, I don't have anything special that I will do today.

Tuesday

I spent my English class yesterday morning working on my introductory paragraph for my research paper. I believe I am mostly done with writing it.
This weekend, I did go to the Chinese New Year celebration. It was kind of fun. I liked the food, but I also liked the thing there that you spin the wheel and win a prize.
There might be a new kid from Africa coming to my school in a few weeks.

Friday

Today I won't do many excited things.
This weekend, I might go to the Chinese New Year celebration, but I'll probably just stay home and rest. I also might go shopping and might have a computer programming lesson with my dad.
I am still getting a good idea on my research project. I've got a little over a month to go.

Wednesday

I don't know how well I've done in the challenge yet, but I think I did pretty good. There were some sections I couldn't finish because it was timed. The goal of the challenge was to strive for accuracy. I participated in the spelling bee part of the challenge last year and won it.
My art class is making small bridges that will be shown at a conference (the bridge is one of their themes). I am making one out of computer parts.

Monday

I got to watch the Superbowl yesterday. I liked it because the team I was rooting for won.
I had the career fair and reading/writing challenge last week. In the career fair, people at my school went to different places to explore the careers they offered (I got to go to a hotel and a credit union). We also played a game of Family Fude in which we were asked questions about careers. I was on the team that won, so I got some candy. At the reading/writing challenge, I got to read some short stories and answer questions for my comprehention, proofread some other short stories, listen to a story and write what they say, and interpret charts and graphs and answer questions.

Thursday

I got 100% on my math test last week.
I will not have a pizza party this week, but maybe I'll have one next week.
I don't look forward to doing anything unusual this weekend.
It is pretty cold this morning, but I was still able to get to school on time.

Wednesday

Last night was the swim meet at my school. I got participate in three races: the 25-yard backstroke, the 25-yard freestyle, and a relay race. I think I won first place in the freestyle, and I know I won second place in the backstroke and third place in the relay race.
I got 100% on my science test last week.
I am still looking forward to having the pizza party for my homeroom class some time soon. We couldn't do it last week because my homeroom teacher was on a vacation last week but she's back now.
Soon I might learn how to use the ATM.

back from my three-day weekend

There will be the swim meet at my school tonight.
I didn't do many unusual things this weekend, but I did watch some videos of when I was younger, performing at a school concert.
I am looking forward to having my pizza party later this week.

Friday

I had an assembly this morning where I got to learn about people like Martin Luther King Jr. and giving everyone equal rights.
Of course I will not go to school on Monday. I am still thinking about what to do during my three-day weekend.
I will participate in a swim meet on Tuesday, which is an event where people go to the pool at my school and compete against each other (such as having a race to see who gets to the other side of the pool first).

Thursday

I didn't didn't do many unusual things yesterday.
I am working on a cubist-style painting in art class.
I think I might have a science test today, and I believe I only got one problem wrong on the math test that I took yesterday.
I only have a week or two of school left this semester. Next semester, I will change from history to geography, but I think the other classes will be the same.

Wednesday

My homeroom class is planning on having the pizza party next Thursday.
I felt a little bit sick yesterday afternoon, but feel better today.
I'm not planning on doing many unusual things soon.
I am still making good progress on my research project.

Tuesday

The roads are icy, so a lot of people who ride the bus to school won't be here this morning. (My mom decided to drive me to school.)
I forgot to mention yesterday that on Friday we went to the house of a family which my mom and dad knew from church.

Monday

I didn't do anything exciting this weekend. I mostly just did homework and watched football.
I am probably not doing many exciting things this week.
I am still looking forward to the pizza party that I will have next week.
I am also looking forward to having piano lessons some time soon, since I've never had one since summer.

Friday

Yesterday there was a tornado in my area. It was the first tornado that happened here in 35 years. Though it didn't do any damage to my school, I had to go down into the basement for a half hour.
I don't plan on doing many unusual things this weekend.

Thursday

Yesterday, I had a hearing test where they checked to make sure I still have good hearing.
I almost wanted to go skiing tonight after school, but I'm not because it seams scary (it is late at night, and it's very cold here at night, and I wouldn't get back until 11 PM.
I will have my pizza party in two weeks.

Wednesday

I didn't do much last night, except for homework. I'm getting my research project off to a good start, and it will take two months to do the project.
The new girl from China has arrived at my school. She seams verry nice.
I might have a pizza party (for the canned food drive) next week.

Tuesday

I didn't do much last night.
I don't have to wear my retainer all the time anymore, so I can just wear it at night.
Besides the cell phone and the robot that I told about yesterday, I got some more calculators for my collection, and a few other R2D2 robots (I also have a collection of them).
I am starting on doing my research project.

my vacation

I got some good presents for Christmas. Those include a cell phone from my parents, and an interactive R2D2 robot that will respond to you when you talk to it.
I just stayed home during the vacation.
My class is starting the research project for the year. Everyone has a different topic that they will research, and mine is why there hasn't been a woman president.
